Walmart and the Church?

6:33 am Thoughts

Ok, this is just a short one this morning. I was driving to Madison, IN yesterday and along the way somewhere in Nowheresville, KY along highway 42 there was a church with this message on their marquee:

“Walmart isn’t the only saving place”

I think we should just stop allowing American churches to have marquee signs. Obviously, some people don’t know how to use them.

    I can top that…

Here are two church signs currently displayed in our town.

“God is like Bayer Aspirin…He works miracles!”

“A man who drinks and drives is getting the quart before the hearse.”

You can’t make this stuff up.

I can vouch for those signs. I’ve seen them both.

I was hesitant to post this because I know how much time I’ve wasted in the past looking through these, but this website is absolutely hilarious (and at the same time, not):

    There goes your day.

:-), funny story. A rather large church on the ‘Eastside’ of Cincinnati has a sign up that says, “A Church for people who don’t like church.”

Then at least 4 other churches in the area have added this message to their sign:
“A church for people who love church/God”
