Veteran’s Day
Enjoying your Veteran’s Day? Thank a veteran or a veterans family for their service to this country. Pray for them as they serve.
Here’s some additional thoughts fresh out of the oven this morning.
Veteran’s day is a day that most people get off work for, but not me. I’m not complaining because I really to love the work I do, but pastor’s don’t get many holidays off. I mean, just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean that Sunday comes any later that week. It still looms, always no more than six days away, and holiday or not you still have to present a fresh, true, and relevant teaching every week.
Since becoming a church planter I have become more aware of the real responsibility involved on preaching God’s Word. It’s something, that if done with great passion, consumes your thoughts.
So as you enjoy your day off today take just a moment to pray for your local pastor and the work that they are undoubtedly doing right now. It could change your life and perspective come Sunday.
