Four Years

JennaToday marks four years of wedded bliss for me and my wife Jenna. When I said those very words to her last night she joking replied, “Oh, is that what you call this?” That’s why I love her. She’s always able to put a smile on my face. For the life of me I can’t figure out how or why she gets me and all my quarks, but she does. The card she gave me this morning reminded me that she is hoping for 74 more years just like the four we have already celebrated (we’ll both be 100 in 74 years). I guess I need to quit eating fast food if I’m going to make it 74 more years! Our first four years have brought one child, four moves, four church homes, five cars, and many more changes than I could ever recall. It seems like the only constant in either of our lives is the God we serve together and the love he has given us for each other. And if you ask me, that’s all we need.

it seems hard to believe its been 4 years. i can still remember sitting at your wedding…(missing my own fiance who was traveling all summer with a worship band)…wondering who that dude with the afro was officiating (lol)…and marveling at that beautiful Jenna come walking down the aisle! Good times, indeed! Happy anniversary you two. God has been teaching Aron and I over and over that though ministry and life in general seems to rip at a couple from every angle, we HAVE to hold onto to one another with a deathgrip because nothing is more important in the whole world.
    much love…and here’s to 74 more!
